OVERVIEW

The department of Cariology, Restorative Sciences and Endodontics, School of Dentistry offers a Postgraduate Program in Endodontics to general dentist who are committed to obtain depth knowledge and skills in diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical practice on evidence based in Endodontics.

Application deadline is April 30.

The program is designed as a 6, 9 or 12 months course based on individual needs. Starting on September or January of each year and ending accordingly with the duration selected.

This program is designed to achieve excellence and to enable dentists to become knowledgeable in the area of Endodontics. The participants will have the opportunity to attend courses, seminars and clinical sessions with the graduate students, observe all surgical and non surgical endodontic procedures, attend to clinical case presentations and observe endodontic teaching. The applicants will enhance their basic knowledge, critical thinking and decision making developing clinical judgment and skills to treat endodontic cases and teach Endodontics.

Upon fulfillment of the program requirements, students will receive a Certificate of Attendance. This program is not intended to prepare individuals to practice as recognized specialists in Endodontics in the United States. For a Certificate of Endodontic Specialty degree, participants are encouraged to apply for an ADA accredited Endodontic program. Although completion of the program does not guarantee acceptance to a graduate Endodontic program, it might improve the knowledge and skills of the participants in Endodontics. It also offers an opportunity for participants to return to their practice with additional insights and expertise in Endodontics for their practice, teaching or research.


REQUIREMENTS

  • DDS or DMD equivalent
  • If your dental school instruction was not in English, you must provide documentation of English language proficiency by submitting iBT TOEFL scores. A minimum iBT TOEFL score of 84 or higher (less than 2 years old) is required
  • Official transcripts of all dental education completed
