BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Jung graduated from the College of Dentistry, Chonnam National Univ., Korea, in 1989. He completed his internship and residency in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Chonnam National Univ. Hospital, Korea, from 1993-96. Dr. Jung earned his PhD in 2000. His thesis was entitled, “Feasibility of Degenerated Oligonucleotide Primed PCR for Analyzing Allelic Imbalance in Microdissected Paraffin Embedded Tissue.” Dr. Jung completed a one-year Post-graduate Periodontal Program at the University of Michigan in 2005. He trained in Prosthodontics at the VA Medical Center’s Graduate Prosthodontic Residency Program in conjunction with The University of Michigan and graduated in 2008. Dr. Jung has achieved the status of Diplomate of American Board of Prosthodontics, Diplomate of American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, and Diplomate of Korean Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Reconstructive Surgery. His interest remains in esthetic implant reconstruction through the surgical and restorative approach. Dr. Jung is currently an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He is a prosthodontic instructor for pre-clinic, junior, and senior students. He also runs a private practice in Ann Arbor.
