BIOGRAPHY

Sharon Aronovich DMD, FRCD(C) serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at the University of Michigan Health System. He is also the Assistant Program Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program. Dr. Aronovich obtained his dental degree from McGill University and underwent residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital of Saint Raphael/Yale-New Haven Hospital. He completed a fellowship in Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Aronovich is a member of many national associations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Cleft Palate – Craniofacial Association, the American Society of TMJ Surgeons, the American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the C.J. Lyons Academy, and the Michigan Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Aronovich has been involved in global outreach programs serving children with conditions such as cleft lip and palate in India, China, and most recently Mexico, where he has partnered with Smiles International Foundation. Clinical Specialization: Dr. Aronovich specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adult Oral & Maxillofacial conditions. He has extensive experience in jaw and facial reconstruction from congenital defects or trauma, pediatric and adult sleeping disorders, and craniofacial anomalies such as cleft lip and palate. His clinical expertise also includes implantology and the treatment of cysts and tumors of the jaw. He has specialized experience in the use of prosthetic total joint for jaw joint (TMJ) reconstruction for complex conditions of the jaw including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, ankylosis, and ablative defects of the jaw.
