Dr. Bagramian is Professor of Dentistry. He received his DDS from Temple University, the MPH from the University of North Carolina and PhD from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He received the ADA Award for Outstanding Service to the Public and the Profession and was honored as the founder for the 50th Anniversary of the Dental Department at Changhua Christian Hospital, Taiwan, April 2013. He served as Chair of Community Dentistry from 1970 until 1990 during which time he established the Community Outreach Program for the School of Dentistry. He served as nonresident Dean for the College of Health Sciences at the American University of Armenia in Yerevan Armenia from 2007 until 2015. His career has focused on Dental Public Health with efforts to seek out and provide care to those populations who for whatever reason have not been able to receive it. These have included children, the elderly, handicapped, migrant farm workers, prisoners, low-income groups and others. He has been the chair for the Provost’s Committee to Review the School of Dentistry and submit proposals for the future of the school. (1986-87). He has served as a member of the University’s Human Subjects Committee for over 20 years. He has been a visiting professor and lecturer at key Universities including Bern Switzerland, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, UCSF California, and Columbia, South Carolina. He is a consultant to the World Health Organization and the Federation Dentaire Interationale. Publications include over 100 manuscripts, abstracts, and book chapters. He is reviewer for numerous journals including the American Dental Association, Journal of Dental Research, ORCA, American Association of Public Health Dentistry and Periodontics. He has been a member of numerous masters and doctoral committees. He has been funded at over 7 million dollars for research and public programs and continues as an ad-hoc grant reviewer for the National Institutes for Dental and Craniofacial Research.
