BIOGRAPHY

I completed my undergraduate training in dental hygiene at the University of Michigan and furthered my education at Eastern Michigan University and obtained a Masters of Arts degree in Guidance and Counseling. I taught numerous dental hygiene courses and was the clinical director for over 35 years. My clinical practice experience has been in both the general practice and periodontal specialty settings. Prior to retiring as a full-time faculty member of the department, I served on several school wide and university committees, including Student Affairs and Office of Student Conflict Resolution. I’m an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the American Dental Education Association and served as treasurer of the Michigan Dental Hygienists’ Association as well as president of the University of Michigan Dental Hygienists’ Association.
