BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Muhammad H Saleh is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dentistry at the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine, School of Dentistry. He graduated from the faculty of Dentistry, at the University of Cairo, Egypt. After finishing his Dento-alveolar surgery residency, he worked in private practice for 8 years before completing an implant diploma from DGZI, Germany. He followed that with post-doctoral training at the Periodontics Department at the University of Michigan. After that, he finished his Periodontics residency at the University of Louisville, KY, USA. He is currently a full-time faculty at the Periodontics department, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. Dr. Saleh has been actively involved in research, publishing more than 60 periodontics and implant-related peer-reviewed articles. He serves as a reviewer for Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, the international journal of oral implantology, and an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Periodontology, and the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants. He is a winner of multiple national and international awards, most recently the 2021 AAPF Schoor Award for the best periodontics resident research project for 2021, the best clinical research in the Ramfjord 2022 Symposium, and the AAP Institute for teaching and leadership ward. Dr. Saleh's research interest is primarily focused on risk factors of periodontitis and peri-implantitis; and guided bone regeneration. His clinical interest is mainly guided tissue regeneration and guided bone regeneration.
