BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Mark D. Snyder received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry in 1988. He was awarded the Operative Dentistry Award and the Chi-Cheung Chan Orthodontic Award for his graduating class. Following graduation, he taught part time at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry, worked in private practice part time and worked for the Lancaster County Health Department, Dental Division part time. In 1989 he returned to the University of Nebraska, College of Dentistry full time as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Adult Restorative Dentistry. In May of 1990, Dr. Snyder returned to his home state of Michigan and relocated to private practice full time in Grandville, Michigan. He also was a dental consultant to Butterworth Hospitals Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology division performing screening exams and treatment of pediatric patients suffering from various diseases. Through this association he also was involved in the Hemophilia Foundation summer camp program. In August 1996, Dr. Snyder accepted his current position as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences, Division of Prosthodontics and moved back to the Ann Arbor area.
