Michelle Ann Velez

Adjunct Clinical Lecturer in Dentistry

Dental Hygiene

In 1998, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan. I chose the University of Michigan for the education and the experience necessary to provide outstanding service as a clinician. I am a registered dental hygienist, certified in local anesthesia, with vast experience working in private practice for over 17 years. My education, experience and personal enthusiasm for excellence in oral health has enabled me to provide consistent, quality patient care. I thrive in collaborative environments that support continued learning and best practice focused on oral care and patient well-being. In addition to working in private practice, I am a Clinical Instructor at the University of Michigan, the current President of the University of Michigan Dental Hygiene Alumni Association, a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association, the American Dental Education Association, and a volunteer for the Michigan Mortuary Response Team.
