BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Sabri is a Periodontics (MS) resident at the Department of Periodontics & Oral Medicine, at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBMU). Immediately upon graduation, he completed a one-year advanced Oral Surgery internship, as well a research assistantship at the Cranio-maxillofacial research center, at the medical center of the University. In 2021, he joined the department of Periodontics & Oral Medicine, at Michigan to start a one-year specialized fellowship program in Periodontal and Implant Microsurgery, consisting of a post-graduate training focused on microscopic and contemporary Periodontal surgical techniques. He currently continues his research activities in a new postdoctoral research position, which mainly includes clinical research focusing on: reconstruction of periodontal supporting tissues and management of implant diseases, with novel technologies such as a high resolution dental ultrasonography. Dr. Sabri has presented his research studies in several national and international meetings and symposia, and he has published multiple articles in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals. He is also an active member of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) and Academy of Osseointegration (AO).
