BIOGRAPHY
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2013. An interest to further my knowledge in dental hygiene led me to pursue graduate studies and in 2018 I graduated with a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. My thesis research project focused on the knowledge of dental professionals and students regarding the human papillomavirus vaccine. My other research interests include oral health promotion and access to care. I continue to work as a clinician in private practice in southwest Detroit, where I was raised and still live. I am an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the American Dental Education Association. Last year I was honored to be inducted into the Nu Chapter of Sigma Phi Alpha, the national dental hygiene honor society.
