Dr. Anovazzi Medeiros received her D.D.S. degree from Sao Paulo State University, Araraquara/SP - Brazil in 2008. She is dual-trained, as she obtained her Certificate in Periodontics in 2011 from Sao Paulo State University, Araraquara/SP and her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2015 from APCD–SP Brazil. She then continued her post-graduate programs to receive her Master's, PhD and Post-Doc degrees in 2012, 2016 and 2019, respectively. Dr. Anovazzi joined the University of Michigan, Orthodontics & Pediatric Department in February 2020 as a Clinical Instructor, and in June 2022 as a Clinical Assistant Professor. She has performed dental research with an emphasis on genetic susceptibility and biocompatibility of dental materials. She has previously mentored undergraduate and graduate dental students and has been successful in obtaining past funding for her research that resulted in relevant papers published in regarded international journals. Dr. Anovazzi has significant experience in clinical and didactic instruction and works directly with pre-doctoral and graduate students at the School of Dentistry.
