Dr. Ana Carracho was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. She graduated from Egas Moniz University in Lisbon, where she obtained the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2017. While still a student, she joined the Department of Conservative Dentistry - in Restorative Dentistry as a teaching assistant in 2016. After graduation, Dr. Carracho started her private practice activity as a general dentist in Lisbon. Her main scientific interests include dental ceramics, adhesive dentistry, implant prosthodontics, and hard/soft tissues regeneration. She is a member of dental organizations including the ITI (International Team for Implantology) and IADR (International Association for Dental Research). Her research work has been presented in different scientific meetings including the IADR General Session. She joined the Graduate Prosthodontics Program at the University of Michigan in the summer of 2019 where she plans to obtain the combined certificate/masters degree. After graduation, Dr. Carracho plans to apply the acquired knowledge to best serve her patients, to improve her private practice and to teach at dental school.
