Dr. Abeer Abdullah was born in Amman, Jordan. She spent her childhood traveling between counties but settled back in Jordan where she earned her Dental Surgery Degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 2010. After graduation, she did six months training at the ministry of health in Jordan, then started working in the private sector. She worked for two years as a general practitioner with another dentist. After this, she had her own practice that she dedicated five years to, developing her skills and serving her patients with her best knowledge. Being a dentist gave her the opportunity to give back to her community, so she volunteered to treat the refugees at Al-Zaa’tare refugee camp in Jordan in 2016. She was also a member of the non-profit organization Operation Smile since 2012. In 2017, Dr. Abdullah decided to move to the United States and start her career: she lived in Ohio for two years during which time she did an observership training with an oral surgeon in private practice. In 2019, she applied to the Dental Postgraduate Program in Prosthodontics to improve her skills and knowledge, and to take a first step towards her master’s degree in prosthodontics.
