OverviewThe Dental Sleep Apnea Clinic provides treatment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and primary snoring. Our services focus on oral appliance therapy (OAT), an effective alternative to continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), in cases where CPAP is ruled out or not tolerated. Our dentists are board-certified and qualified through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) to provide treatment in collaboration with patients’ primary care physicians, sleep physicians, and other health care professionals. What is Obstructive Sleep Apnea? Referrals If you need a referral to the Obstructive Sleep Apnea Clinic, please have your provider fill out a referral to the Obstructive Sleep Apnea Clinic below. The referral needs to include:A recent diagnostic sleep studyA letter of medical necessity from your providerA global referral from your Primary Care Physician (PCP) Referral to the Obstructive Sleep Apnea Clinic ServicesAnalysis of which appliance will work best for each patientDigital workflow to register jaw relationshipDelivery of OSA appliance and instructionsFollow-up and adjustmentReferring back to physician for sleep studyCollaborating with your physician on continued careWhat to Bring to Your First AppointmentPlan to arrive 15 minutes early.When you arrive, check-in at the reception desk and, if you have insurance, give your insurance information to the receptionist. Please also bring recent radiographs (x-rays) if you have them, a list of your medications, and results of your sleep study (if any).What to ExpectYour first visit will include clinical evaluation, health history, and dental history. At this time, the providers will propose a plan of action to address your needs.
