Why did I receive two statements? During our billing system transition, some balances may remain in our previous billing system while newer balances are billed through our new system. If you have balances in both systems, you may receive separate statements for each. Am I being billed twice? No. The balances shown on each statement represent different charges or dates of service. Receiving two statements does not mean you are being charged twice for the same treatment. Which balance should I pay first? If possible, we encourage patients to pay both balances. If you are unable to pay both in full, please contact our business office at 734-647-4246 so we can discuss available options. Can balances be combined? In most cases, balances cannot be combined because they are maintained in separate billing systems during the transition period. Our business team can review your account and discuss payment options. Why is my balance not showing online? During the transition, some balances may not be visible through the online patient portal. If you have questions about a balance that is not displaying online, please contact our business office for assistance at 734-647-4246. I already made a payment. Why did I receive another statement? Statements are generated on a scheduled cycle. If your payment was received after the statement was created, the statement may not reflect your recent payment. Please allow time for processing, or contact our business office to verify your current balance. Can I establish a payment plan for balances in both systems? Yes. Payment plan options may be available for balances in both systems. Please contact our business office at 734-647-4246 so we can review your account and discuss available arrangements. Who should I contact with billing questions? If you have questions about your statement, balance, payment options, or the billing system transition, please contact our business office at 734-647-4246. You may also send a billing inquiry through your patient portal. Our team is happy to assist you and will help ensure your questions are directed to the appropriate billing system. Why does my online balance look different from my statement? During the transition period, online account information and mailed statements may not always update at the same time. Please contact us if you have questions about your current balance. Can I make payments online for both balances? Online payment availability may vary depending on which billing system contains the balance. Your statement will include instructions for making payments, or our business team can assist you.
