He is also a senior consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at NÄL Medical Center Hospital, Trollhättan, Sweden. Recently, he was appointed as adjunct Clinical Professor at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA.He is a former Research Fellow at University of Florida. In addition, he has also served as founding program director in Oral Implantology at European University, UAE. He is currently a member of the executive board for the Osteology Foundation and also member of editorial boards for several journals in the dental and biomaterials field. Professor Dahlin has over twenty-five years of experience in implant treatment and related research and is considered one of the pioneers in the development of the concept of Guided Bone Regeneration. He is education board director for the Swedish Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has published numerous articles and textbooks on these topics. He frequently travels worldwide to lecture, conduct research and teach on this and other implant-related topics.
