Dr. Cornwall earned his DDS from the University of Michigan in 1978 and is currently a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. After eighteen years of private practice he began teaching part time at the University of Michigan. He took a full time position with University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) and for six years was the director of the clinic at Detroit Receiving Hospital. While in private practice, Dr. Cornwall was on active staff at Sinai Hospital in Detroit with the General Practice Residency (GPR) program. At UDM, he was appointed active staff at St. John Riverview Hospital in Detroit as a faculty member of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program. He has been on active staff at Detroit Medical Center, and in 2006, Dr. Cornwall became the Assistant Director of the GPR program at University of Michigan. In 2012, he became the University of Michigan GPR Program Director, and in 2014 became Chief of Hospital Dentistry.
