Image Andre Joao Valcanaia, DDS Clinical Associate Professor of Dentistry andrev@umich.edu 734-764-8980 Links Recent Publications Biography Andre Valcanaia is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Cariology, Restorative Sciences, and Endodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Valcanaia graduated in Brazil in 2002 from the University of Vale of Itajai School of Dentistry. He holds a Certificate in Implant Restorative Dentistry from the Brazilian Dental Association in 2003, a Specialist degree in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina in 2006, and a Certificate in Computerized Dentistry Program from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry from 2014 to 2016. Dr. Valcanaia has been involved in private practice since 2002, and he has taught in post-graduation and specialization courses in Implantology and Prosthodontics. Since 2016, he has worked at the University of Michigan as a staff dentist and clinical assistant professor and has collaborated in laboratory and clinical research in digital dentistry and CAD/CAM materials applied to restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Valcanaia has a part-time dental practice in Ann Arbor, where he focuses on restorative/cosmetic and digital dentistry (CAD/CAM).
