Supplemental Learning Opportunities (SLOs)

Each pathway requires students to attend a number of Supplemental Learning Opportunities (SLOs) over the four years of the program. A wide variety of activities can be considered SLOs. Typical activities include presentations by guest speakers, conference session attendance, and continuing education activities, but nearly any educational opportunity of an hour or more may be considered for SLO credit with prior approval.  A short summary and proof of attendance are required to earn SLO credit for an activity.
