Cun-Yu Wang, DDS, PhD is the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, the Dr. No-Hee Park Endowed Chair in Dentistry, and the Chair of the Division of Oral Biology and Medicine at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Wang is a leading investigator in the study of oral cancer, chronic inflammation, and adult stem cells. He made a landmark discovery on the regulation of cancer cell death by NF-κB, a transcription factor associated with inflammation and immune responses. His work has been published in high-impact journals including Science, Cell, Nature Medicine, Cancer Cell, Nature Cell Biology, Lancet, and Nature Biotechnology. Dr. Wang is among the most highly-cited dentist-scientists at national and international levels. He was elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, one of the highest honors in medicine and public health, in 2011.
