The CAAPID application becomes available on April 15, 2013. The deadline for the University of Michigan is June 30, 2013. The ITDP entering class of 2014 will begin in January 2014. A draft schedule of the first semester will be available here soon!
Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first served basis with review of complete applications beginning in June. Early application is encouraged to remain competitive.
Upon review of complete applications, qualified applicants will be invited for a personal interview, which is mandatory for acceptance into the program. For the entering class of 2014, our interview will be held in September 2013. During the interview, candidates will have an opportunity to meet with faculty members of the Admissions Committee and will be required to complete an exercise called the Dental Assessment Examination. This consists of a written examination on the various disciplines in dentistry as well as a practical examination on manikins. There is a $250 (US) fee associated with the personal interview to cover costs associated with the administration of the Dental Assessment Examination. The test fee is non-refundable and must be received prior to arriving for the personal interview. This examination fee is not applied toward any tuition. Additional information on the personal interview will be provided to invited applicants in advance of the interview. If you are selected to interview, you will be contacted by email.
After the interview, offers of admission will be sent to selected candidates until the program class has been filled. Upon notification of acceptance, candidates are required to submit a non-refundable enrollment fee of $1,500 as directed in the acceptance letter. This fee will be applied to the first semester tuition.
We do maintain an alternate list of candidates who were not initially offered admission. Candidates will be contacted by email if they are offered a seat on the alternate list.
