Background

A career Michigan dental educator, Dr. Richards served as director of undergraduate periodontics from 1994 through 2010. He has been recognized for his enthusiastic teaching and honored by students on many occasions, receiving the "Dr. Paul Gibbons Award" (for outstanding educational contributions during four years of dental school) eleven times.
