Dr. Hamerink received his DDS and did his graduate studies in dental materials and fixed prosthetics at The University of Michigan. Dr. Hamerink maintains a private practice in Plymouth, Michigan. He lectures in the areas of prosthodontic treatment planning, impression techniques, implant abutment selection, the single tooth and interim implant. Dr. Hamerink was a co-investigator in a clinical study of the provisional and overdenture implants.  He is on editorial review board for the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, Journal of the American Association Dental Education and an evaluator for the Dental Advisor.

Dr. Hamerink is a delegate to the American Dental Association, trustee for the Michigan Dental Association and member of the following Washtenaw District Dental Society, the Francis B. Vedder Society, the R.H. Kingery Society and the Pierre Fauchard Academy and Fellow of the International and American Colleges of Dentistry.
