What do I need to know about obtaining software at the School of Dentistry?

What should I do if the software I need is not on the list?

  • Contact dds.helpdesk@umich.edu to see if there's an alternate software title that will do what you need.
  • If there isn't an alternate title available, contact dds.helpdesk@umich.edu to request a special departmental purchase which will need to be approved for purchase.

How is Dental Informatics (DI) supporting Software requests?

  • DI will install software that is on the list; often the same day as requested.
  • If the sofware needs to be ordered, DI will process the order and contact you when it arrives to schedule the installation.
  • DI can only install volume licensed or departmentally purchased software on University owned equipment.
